Do Employees Have the Right to Moonlight?


(Workforce Management Magazine) -- Employers are within their rights to expect that employees show up for work ‘present, prompt and prepared.’ If a second or third job disrupts that, employers are within their legal rights to fire those workers.

Moonlighting can be a challenge for both employees and employers. One way to head off moonlighting problems in your workforce is to let employees know that you expect them to disclose and clear any potential moonlighting issues before undertaking such jobs.
