Employee Discount Programs for the Summer

As summer approaches, your employees may be thinking about taking vacations, heading to the amusement park, or cooling off in the movie theaters. Help them out and boost morale by offering discounts on their summer entertainment – at little or no cost to you! There are many employee discount programs available that provide savings on hotel rooms, rental cars, water parks, movie tickets, and more. Employers sign up with the program and are provided access through either a personalized website or a company password. Employees simply use the website or password to log in and view the discounts. Tickets and passes are purchased online (or at the discount company’s headquarters) at the reduced rate, and are mailed to the employee. It’s as easy as that!

There are different programs to meet every need, and they specialize in various industries – month-to-month gym memberships (as opposed to having to sign a yearly contract), retail (clothing, electronics, flowers, and more), theme parks (Disneyland, Sea World, Legoland, etc.), and travel (airline, hotel, and car rental discounts), to name a few. The membership fees for your company (billed to the company only, not the employee), depending on company size, can range from $0.00 annually to a few thousand dollars annually, but rates are usually negotiable.

Other companies such as AAA (auto club), credit unions, and discount warehouses (Costco, Sam’s Club, etc) will provide small discounts on memberships or membership fees. Stores and restaurants in your neighborhood may even be willing to provide coupons for their products/services. You’d be surprised what you can get if you just ask.
