Charles Chatelain joined MMC in October 2009. Having completed a two-year tenure in Finance with the J. Paul Getty Trust, Mr. Chatelain brings to MMC, a diverse background of experience. A Creative Writer for Out of the Box, a Southern California Marketing and PR Firm, Charles has spent three years exercising his development and writing acumen to promote and brand Businesses and Organizations across Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Chatelain holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English from Louisiana State University.
Kate Fiedler, HR Liaison joined MMC in August of 2010. Kate has been working in the Human Resources field for over 8 years and has worked hands on with the many facets of HR including recruitment, benefits, worker’s compensation, leave of absence management, employee relations and many others. Prior to joining MMC, Kate worked for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County as the Human Resources Generalist.
David Kravetz, Payroll Administration Manager joined MMC in 2001. Mr. Kravetz has several years experience in managing technical processes and secure data collection of confidential information. Prior to joining MMC, he served as an Operations Manager with Landmark Securities.
Kristy Kwan, Benefit and Retirement Plan Administrator joined MMC in 2005. She has 7 years of experience in the insurance industry and supervises the Benefit Representatives in the daily administration of our client’s healthcare and benefit plans. Prior to joining MMC, she worked with AXA Advisors, and brings with her the knowledge of both the brokerage and administrative side of benefits.
Julie Leonor, Senior Finance/Benefit Specialist, MBA joined the MMC team in May 2008 and is currently contributing to the organization as a Senior Finance/Benefit Specialist. Mrs. Leonor holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, both from San Jose State University. During her service at MMC, she obtained her Masters of Business Administration Degree from California State University Northridge in May 2011. Her diverse background in both benefits and finance, allows for a better understanding of how the two departments are interrelated and the opportunity to close the gap between the two disciplines.
Crystal M. O’Brien, Esq. serves as MMC’s Labor & Employment Law Manager. She also sits on the company’s panel of HRCI/MCLE trainers which provides ongoing training to H.R. professionals through its onsite MMC University. Ms. O’Brien’s legal practice experiences focus on providing labor and employment law counseling advice to MMC’s 400 clients. She also mediates private disputes for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts as well as represents employers in litigated labor and employment law matters. Prior to joining MMC, Ms. O’Brien practiced law with national and boutique law firms on the west coast. Before entering law school, she served as a workers’ compensation insurance hearing representative for several years. Collectively, Ms. O’Brien has 20 years of litigation experience.
After receiving a double-degree in psychology and sociology from Oberlin College in 1988, Ms. O’Brien earned a workers’ compensation insurance claims adjusting license in 1991. She completed post-graduate studies in Human Resources Management at Portland State University’s Graduate School of Urban & Public Affairs from 1996-1998 and earned a Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Willamette University College of Law in 2001. Immediately following law school, Ms. O’Brien served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Faith Ireland (ret.) of the Washington State Supreme Court. She is licensed to practice law in California and Washington, as well as before U.S. District Courts in each state.
Michele O'Donnell, M.S. Human Resources Management joined the team in January 2007 and currently leads MMC's elite team of HR Consultants. Ms. O'Donnell has been involved in the Human Resources industry for more than 14 years, bringing vast training and management experience to the MMC leadership ranks. Her experience spans the broad scope of labor law, regulatory compliance and HR Best Practices, drawn from her rich experience as Director of HR for several firms throughout her career. She currently works to ensure that MMC's consultants forge long lasting relationships with our clients, fostered in exceptional service and unsurpassed HR expertise. Ms. O'Donnell earned her baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from Auburn University before receiving her Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University.
Adriana Rubio has been with MMC as a Field Consultant since 2011. She has a diverse HR background including payroll, benefits, employee relations, employment law, recruitment and development. Prior to joining MMC, Adriana managed a PEO (Professional Employment Organization) for a leading financial services firm. At MMC, she works closely with clients and ensures that best HR business practices are in place. She is a Los Angeles native and graduated from Loyola Marymount University.
John Sobrack, Benefit Representative is currently a MMC Benefits Representative assisting our clients with their healthcare & benefit plans. He joined MMC in 2005 as a Payroll Coordinator in which his role transformed to Payroll Supervisor to his now, current role in Benefits. Originally from Minnesota, he holds a variety of work experiences, including 9 years as a Payroll Representative, a self-employed painter, and has produced and directed a handful of short film and commercial productions.
Shirley Tenorio, Employee Benefits Compliance Manager joined MMC in 2003. Ms. Tenorio has extensive experience in negotiating and managing employee welfare benefit packages with major health care insurance carriers. Prior to joining MMC, Ms. Tenorio gained legal and business management experience as a key leader for mid-market business enterprises.
