- I'm an MMC client and need to sign up an account with HireRight. How do I do that?
You can immediately register your account! You can start using the same packages MMC is using for their corporate office. Please make sure you read all of the footnotes and contract information so you understand the charges and fees.
- What do I need to do to stay in compliance with the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act?)
To remain compliant, an Employer has 3 primary responsibilities under the FCRA:
1. Obtain an authorization and consent from the applicant before requesting the background check.
2. Offer a copy of the report to the applicant if the applicant resides in CA, MN, or OK.
3. If you are not hiring the applicant based on derogatory information in their background check and you are going to take "Adverse Action" (meaning you are not going to hire the person because of it), you are required to send a series of notifications/letters called Pre-Adverse/Adverse Letters.
